Reflection

This is will be my last post with the ending of the last semester at college where I’ll conclude my blog with the useful things that I’ve learned through this course. During this course I’ve made a training session to my classmates and it was the first time that I did a training session where I noticed the differences between the training and the presentation that we usually do almost for each subject at college. It was a useful course where I’ve learned about Google tools and how I can use it through such of training sessions by my classmates where some of them make my life easier and help me a lot. Below I’ll share with you all the tools that I’ve used and how it helps me.

1. Google Chrome:
   Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. This Browser provides us with variety helpful and useful tools that am going to include in my site. I’ve used Google Chrome to download many Apps such as Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Play Music, Picasa, Dropbox, My Chrome theme and some games. Also from the Apps I’ve downloaded a theme that gives me the chance to have my own and let my browser look different than others.

2. Google Searching: 
   The tool of Google Search provides you with an easier, faster search and it includes many features that are helpful. I've used this tool for Advanced Search which helps me to search easily by narrowing the result that I might get. For example, I’ve use it in order to search for Blackberry Q10 & Z10 plus, comparing it with Samsung. In addition, there are many fabulous features that I’ve tried such as weather feature, time features, and dictionary definitions. For instance, I've typed (weather Dubai) in the search box and then you can see what the weather look like, also you can apply this feature for any country or area that you want to know what the weather look likes in it.

3. Google Calendar:
   It is a free online calendar that provided by Google and it’s one of Google tools that give you an easy way to keep track of all important events in your life in one place. By Google Calendar you can create your own calendar to set all your events plus you can share any events you want with your friends, colleagues or you family member with many additional features that the calendar includes. I've used this tool in order to set my important college's tasks and some other events.

4. Google Docs:
   This is another tool that is provided by Google in order to create and share your work online and access your documents from anywhere with your friends, colleagues and anyone that you want to share with him/her your work. Also through this tool you can manage documents, spreadsheets, presentations, surveys, and more all in one. From my point of view, this tool is seriously a useful one that gives me a chance to work with my group in our project at my home without any problems by having the access to see our report at the same time with the chance of editing each other parts. I've used and apply Google Docs through my daily life. Recently, I and my colleagues Arwa & Noof decide to complete our Accounting report by using Google Docs, so we can share the documents and write it together.

5. Google Maps:
   To view maps and get directions Google Maps is the best choice. It's beneficial tool which let you explore places around the world and give you the specific direction with the street numbers. There are many features that Google Maps include such as satellite, view pictures of the places and weather. I’ve used this tool in order to get the direction of Oasis Centre because I don’t know how to get there and by Google Maps I went there easily.

6. Google Sites: 
   To create and share webpages use the tool of Google Sites that provide you a free and easy way to do that. Recently, I've use it twice as it's required for two of my college projects. First, I’ve created a site with several pages to explain Google tools and how I use them. Second, I’ve created another site for my photo-essay project.

7. Google+: 
   Google+ is another tool that has many features such as; sharing, creating Friends, Family, Colleagues or any group that you want to create a Circle for it. I’ve created two circles for my friends & family where I’ve share some of my blog posts with my friends circle.

8. Blogs:
   Blog is free weblog publishing tool that provided by Google. This tool allow you to create your own blog with gorgeous themes and it’s useful and helpful for sharing photos, videos, articles and even your life’s diary. Also your friends can put their comment upon your posts. This year is the first year that I've used this tool as one of my projects requirements I've to create a blog about my diary where I've several posts to share them with my friends. For instance, I’ve shared Photos, Videos and Music. Seriously I liked and enjoyed using this tool.

9. Gmail: 
   Gmail is useful, efficient and even it can be used for fun purpose. Gmail is another tools that also provided by Google and it is different by having many unique features than the normal email that people tend to use it. From my side, I've used the Gmail for several purposes such as; I’ve added my signature so whenever I send any email from my Gmail the signature will be appended at the end of all outgoing messages. In addition, I've chosen a theme and apply it on my Gmail, so it will have a different look than others’ Gmail.

10. RSS Feeds:
    Google Reader is another tool where you can stay up to date with your favorite websites that you would like to read. So, all the sites will be in on place with this tool which will make it easier for you to read all the favorite sites. I’ve used this tool in order to subscribe some sites that I want to keep track with their updates. For example, I’ve subscribe Al Bayan Newspaper and a movies web.

11. Social Bookmarking:
    Digg and Delicious are social bookmarking services. In my daily life I've just used Digg where I can read Top Stories, Popular and the Upcoming and digg what I like. I sign in with my Twitter account after that I read such articles & stories through digg and I share some of stories that I liked with my contacts in Twitter.

Student Awards Ceremony

4th of June,2013 was a special day for me were I was awarded for my outstanding at college.

Here is the firs email that I've received from Dezzil which is an Administrative office in the Business department and I was surprised that my name were included in this email and I was happy for that. After this I run quickly to Dezzil office to confirm my attendance to the ceremony. This email made my day and changed my mood

Here when I reached the auditorium and there were just minutes to start this ceremony.

I were there with my mum and two of my sisters where they come to encourage & support me.

Here when they called my name and i was awarded by Dr.Howard Reed,
the director of Higher Colleges of Technology-Dubai

Simple gift that I've got from my two best friends at the same day.

Last thing that I want to say that I'm honored about what I've achieved.
 Thanks to  God and then my parents.

Icon of Meditation

In order to be in a good mood, feeling relaxed and be in meditation mood I tend to open YouTube, put my headset and start listening to some music that am gonna share some of them with you. Also, sometime while am working in my college projects I like to listen to these kind of music.

These are some musics that help me to relax, focus, concentrate, meditate. I strongly recommend you all to listen to these musics or you can search for more in YouTube and am sure that you will feel what am feeling about while listening to them. Hope you will enjoy listening to what I've uploaded in this page. 

Al Ras Souk - Spices Souk

Last Saturday I and my mother with my little sister went to Al Ras Souk which is located in Deira. It is represent one of the oldest communities in Deira and it is near to the Dubai Creek and there are many different shops there. We went there to buy some herbs and spices that my mum needed and I took some photos that i would like to share it.

As you can see from the photo that there is no one at the parking building where we reach early, so to not face an issue with the parking.

Here is the first view when we got-out from the parking building. In this area there are a lot of shops and many tourist visit it.

This is one of the herbs and spices shop that we passed next to it while walking there.

Closer photos of some herbs and spices at the shop that we stopped to buy from it some spices that my mother loved to use them while cooking.

Here is a video that you will know through it the name of these herbs and spices. Actually, by coincidence the shop that is in video it is the same shop that we bought from it.

There are many foreigners tourists that visit this area and also there are many visitor from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). From this video you can notice that the one who was recording this video was a foreigner women.

These are two photos that I took while walking in the Souk. This is a foreigner boy that is wearing men scarf as local citizens (men) usually wear. Also you can see behind this boy there are two tourists from GCC specifically from Oman where you can know that from the type of hat that they are wearing.

Friday Gathering

Each Friday we are gathering in my grandfather house where we have a dinner scheduled that state each Friday one of the Family member bring the dinner. In this gathering which was in 10 of May the dinner were made by my grandfather house because it was their turn. I'll share few of photos that I took in that day.

These are the three photos that I was able to took in Friday for the dishes. There were different dishes for our dinner (Different type of sandwiches, Pizza and other dishes). 

Here is one kind of sweet that were made by my mother. It was delicious and all my family member like the taste.

Family mean a lot to me and this is a habit in my family that in each Thursday we are gathering with my mother family, whereas, in each Friday we are gathering with my father family. How it's amazing to be in a family that like to be close to each other as much as they can.  

Day To Enjoy

In Friday 10th of May, 2013 me and my cousin went to Downtown Dubai where I took some photos that I would like to share them in my blog.

We went to Gerard Cafe at downtown to drank cappuccino and we ate delicious biscuits.

While walking around and about opening the lights at downtown I took this photo for the place with showing Burj Khalifa. 

During the sunset time and from the road of Business Bay Crossing I took this photo for Burj Khalifa and the building beside it. I like this photo because in my point of view I saw it like a painted image.

Mother's Day

My mother's family used to gather once a week which is each Thursday at my grandmother house. In Thursday 21 of March which is a Mother's Day date we celebrated this day at my grandmother house. Through this page I'll share some photos that I've took in that day.

These photos shows some gifts from one member of my family to my grandmother and there are many other gifts that she received in that day.

This is a chocolate that were distributed in the mother's day among our family member and its wrote in the cover "I Love You Mum", but in Arabic.

This the cake that we have ordered for that day and we wrote on it "I love you Mama".

This is another gift that my grandmother received from her daughters and it was a gorgeous gift which is gold necklace.

This is a photo for my grandmother after she wear the gold necklace and she hold another gift in her hand.

It was an amazing day to see the whole family gathering hand by hand to make our grandmother happy. I really enjoyed this day to the max with our family.
